NoneAnnual Membership Meeting -2006 |
Friday, 23 December 2005 | |
The Galion Alumni Association will hold its annual membership meeting on Monday, February 27 at 7:00 p.m. at the Galion High School cafeteria. This annual meeting will review the progress of the Galion Alumni Association since the last annual meeting and elect new board members as required by the organizational bylaws. "This is a very important meeting," said Alumni secretary Brian Treisch. "We have several very important projects underway at various stages and we need to discuss these with the membership. I hope that as many members as possible attend this meeting." The Galion Alumni Association was very active in 2005. "We revived the alumni basketball tournament, we co-hosted the 1985 State Championship Football Team reunion, held the first Alumni golf outing, produced two newsletter, sponsored the high school academic achievement breakfasts, took part in the preliminary study of the adaptive reuse of the current high school building and much more," said Treisch. "We are looking to do even more in 2006, but we need active and involved members."
Over 250 graduates, faculty members, and former faculty members are currently members of the Galion Alumni Association. "We are currently mailing our membership renewals and beginning a membership drive," said Treisch. "We have over 3500 Galion graduates to contact, and hope to increase our membership substantially." |
