2024 Hall of Fame The 2024 Hall of Fame Banquet and inductee presentations will be held on October 12, 2024. Do you know a Galion High School Graduate that deserves recognition for outstanding accomplishments in their careers and communities? Please fill out a nomination form for that individual to be considered for that honor. Nominating forms are due by June 1, 2024. All Alumni Picnic 2007 - July 13 & 14 - Weekend Plans Set Updated 6/1/2007 Scheduled Events The Galion Alumni Association has been working hard to plan this summers Alumni Picnic. The plans are set and the event is scheduled for July 13 and 14, 2007. July 13, 2007 Alumni are invted to gather at the Varsity Grille starting at 6:00 p.m. for reminiscing , renewing old friendships and making new friends.. July 14, 2007 Activities begin at 11:00 a.m. with a women's vintage baseball game. This will be held in Heise Park near the Lions Shelter House. Local ladies will take on the Ohio Village Lady Diamonds. At 1:00 p.m. the local men will play the Ohio Village Muffins in a vintage baseball game using 19th century rules. At 3:30 p.m. a flag lowering ceremony will take place at the old high school building on North Union Street. Tours of the old building will follow this ceremony. At 5:00 p.m., tours of the new Galion High School will begin. The building should be completed at this time with equipment, furnishings and final decorations. The picnic will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Lions Shelter House behind the Galion Community Center in Heise Park. Those that wish can bring a covered dish for the "potluck". Beverages and meats will be provided by the Galion Alumni Association. The Galion Alumni Band Will perform during the festivities. Over 100 alumni attended the picnic last year and we hope that even more this year will enjoy the tours and fellowship.
