Oct. 22^nd, 2007

Attendance: Brian Treisch, Steve Melchior, Sue Jarvis, Bill Durtschi, Marty Cecil, Kay Gerlach

President Brian Treisch called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The agenda was approved with flexibility.

Treasurer’s Report was given by Steve Melchior. The ending balance as of Oct. 22nd, 2007 is $3187.78. Treasurer’s Report was approved. (Motion: Kay Gerlach/Bill Durtschi)

The Entryway Project Construction is underway. The final Check will be formally presented at the November Board Meeting. Different types of lettering for the sign have been looked at. Steve Melchior will contact Schillings and Longstreth’s for quotes on aluminum etching.

The raffle profit was approximately $400.00. All winners have been paid.

Steve Melchior credited Dick Cope with updating pictures and information for our website. There are 184 registered users.

Names for the entryway sign will need to be checked for spelling accuracy. Steve Melchior, Sue Jarvis and Kay Gerlach will work as a committee to ensure accuracy. Bill Durtschi will get information from Central Office.

Attracting members was discussed. Some ideas are to give new graduates a free year’s membership, an advertisement in the Galion Inquirer as well as The Galion Alumni Newsletter with membership form and membership cards.

Alumni Day 2008 could be moved to September to coordinate with the Galion Education Foundation Golf Outing. The Galion Community Foundation could also stage a fundraising event at the same time. The Muffins Baseball Team will need to know soon about a date for 2008.

Since there will be people not able to attend the work session in November, it was decided to postpone the session until January. Sue Jarvis will contact the facilitator and schedule.
