Do you know a Galion High School Graduate that deserves recognition for outstanding accomplishments in their careers and communities? Please fill out a nomination form for that individual to be considered for that honor. Nominating forms are due by June 1, 2024. GHS Class of 1968 Holds 40th Reunion Members of the Galion High School Class of 1968 and guests gathered at the Galion Country Club for their 40th class reunion on Saturday, September 13, 2008. Classmates were welcomed from Arizona, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Florida, Maryland, Connecticut and Ohio. Classmates enjoyed a social hour beginning at 5:30 p.m. An outdoor class photo was then taken by Photorama. A dinner buffet was then served. Judy Dyer offered a prayer of thanks. A brief class meeting was held after dinner, along with a Trivia Game, created and conducted by Judy Dyer. Prizes awarded went to Ted Gelvin , first reservation received, John Kersh, traveling the farthest, Nadine Graves Umstead, Trivia Game. Prizes given were the Commemorative Coins of the Old Galion High School. A Silent Auction was held with various items to bid on to help defray costs of future reunions. Music was provided for the rest of the evening by Kelli Dyer Class members enjoyed an informal gathering Friday night at The Varsity Grille. |
