2024 Hall of Fame The 2024 Hall of Fame Banquet and inductee presentations will be held on October 12, 2024. Do you know a Galion High School Graduate that deserves recognition for outstanding accomplishments in their careers and communities? Please fill out a nomination form for that individual to be considered for that honor. Nominating forms are due by June 1, 2024. Click on the banner below to print out the nominating criteria and and form. Provide as much information as possible, but most importantly nominate some one you feel is deserving of recognition. |

Galion Alumni Association Executive Comittee Minutes August 18, 2008 Attendance: Steve Melchior, Sue Jarvis, Bill Durtschi, Joe Kleinknecht, Brian Treisch, Terry Shifley, Lee Ann Shifley, Doug Schilling President Brian Treisch called the meetin to order at 7:00p.m. The Agenda was approved with flexibility. The minutes were read and approved. (Kleinknecht/Melchior) Steve Melchior reported that The Alumni Basketbal Tournament generated $756.69. The balance in the general fund is $4,033.05. The Treasurer's report was approved. (Schilling/Durtschi) The Alumni Picnic had fewer people attend this year. Next year the Association will ask that it be announced via the school's message board as well as through posters and flyers. A hospitality tent for Homecoming was discussed. Sue Jarvis will contact people to help with manning the tent as well as collecting memorabilia to display. Brian Treisch and Joe Kleinknecht will meet with the Galion Education Foundation, The Galion Booster Club, the City of Galion and the Galion City School District. They will be discussing ways to lend support to the school district. Joe made a motion to donate $250.00 towards campus wear. Steve Melchior seconded. The motion carried with Brian Treisch abstaining. Brian reported that the class reunion tours have been well received. The class of 1988 had quite a few take part in the tours. People are needed to help sell raffle tickets at the football games. Steve and Bill Durtschi will be working the first games. Members are urged to join them! Sue and Brian will continue to explore passibilities with Dr. Jenny concerning honoring student academic achievements.
