Members of the GHS Class of 1960 recently met to celebrate their 50th Class reunion.

On Friday night the 24th of September they met at the Galion Pizza hut to begin their celebration and share their experiences and fellowship of the past fifty years.

On Saturday morning the 25th of September, several class members toured the new high school. A tour of Brownella Cottage was attended in the afternoon. Classmates again met at the home of Buck and Ann  Monnett  for a buffet style dinner and a evening of shared memories over the years.

After the class picture was taken by Photorama, Jim Halsey, Class President conducted a brief business meeting, which he began by  thanking the Monnetts for  again hosting this reunion. He also recognized the deceased members of the class as well as the committee members that were involved in the time and effort in organizing the reunion. Judy (Bishop) DeChristopher, Class Vice President, provided the class a humorous version of her life and experiences since graduating.  She also noted her thanks to the Monnetts and the reunion committee.

Nominations were then asked for the next reunion committee and Martin  Montey, Steve Melchoir and Buck Monnett were chosen as Committee Co-Chairmen .  Joe Kleinknecht noted the possibility of having a reunion in a couple of years and suggested everyone provide their E-mail addresses to help in any future notices.

Joe Kleinknecht then offered the prayer for the evening and the meeting was adjourned to enjoy the dinner and fellowship for the rest of the evening.
