2024 Hall of Fame The 2024 Hall of Fame Banquet and inductee presentations will be held on October 12, 2024. Do you know a Galion High School Graduate that deserves recognition for outstanding accomplishments in their careers and communities? Please fill out a nomination form for that individual to be considered for that honor. Nominating forms are due by June 1, 2024. Click on the banner below to print out the nominating criteria and and form. Provide as much information as possible, but most importantly nominate some one you feel is deserving of recognition. |

Connections Weekend Planning Committee September 28, 2016
In Attendance: Kyle Baughn, Jim Grubbs, Miranda Jones, Joe Kleinknecht, Rick Maddox, Steve Melchoir, Sandy Powell, Marilyn Stepro, Brian Treisch
Financial Report/Fund Raising: Expect $250 from Kiwanis, $300 from First Federal, $50 from Alliance Church.
Review of Minutes: No change of minutes from last week.
Committee Updates:
Bonfire/Pep Rally - Posted on social media; the bonfire will begin 7:00 pm @ the Heise Park practice fields.
Pancake Breakfast - Brian brought posters and tickets for distributions.
Alumni Band Participation - have had one rehearsal w/39 confirmed to attend; Brian expects over 70 Alumni Band participants.
Hall of Fame Nominations - letters to award winners went out last week.
Program - Dave Spraw needs photos and bio's from the nominees; Nita Huggins will introduce Rick Jobe for the banquet; Andee Wildenthaler will receive the award for Gayle Dull.
Hall of Fame Dinner reservations, incl. decorations - Marilyn announced that none of the inductees have made dinner reservations; as of this morning, 7 dinner reservations have been received.
Awards - Steven and Ronnie, GSC tech staff, will help set-up the technology at the Middle School for the award banquet; Dave also shared the new plaque template for $26 plus any additional fees for digital photo work; Miranda offered to help with digital imaging work; previous year's plaques ran approximately $65 per piece; Miranda announced that the inductee awards and Career Day tokens will be received by October 7th.
Career Day - Jen Allerding has details set-up at the MS for students on Friday, October 14th.
Other Business: Marilyn felt that Harry Beer's communication needed to be addressed, perhaps an additional contact w/him; Brian would like to see a sub-committee to review the PR and deadlines for the Connections process; He would like to hold this sub-committee meeting soon after this year's events have concluded.
Next Meeting: Monday, October 10th @ 7:30 am.
