2024 Hall of Fame The 2024 Hall of Fame Banquet and inductee presentations will be held on October 12, 2024. Do you know a Galion High School Graduate that deserves recognition for outstanding accomplishments in their careers and communities? Please fill out a nomination form for that individual to be considered for that honor. Nominating forms are due by June 1, 2024. Click on the banner below to print out the nominating criteria and and form. Provide as much information as possible, but most importantly nominate some one you feel is deserving of recognition.

Connections Weekend Planning Meeting May 8, 2019 Agenda Attendance - Kyle Baughn, Steve Melchior, Sandy Powell, Dave Spraw & Chris Stone Financial Report - Dave reported that payments were made to Pioneer for printing costs and to Chris Stone for his Coordinator's work for a total of $2109. Funds were received this month for a total of $2150. Coordinator's Report - Chris reported his interest in updating the program and will contact A1 Printing for the template. He will create a PDF to share with the committee for review prior to the September 1st print deadline. See other items under fundraising. Chris also reported working with Cathy Moneysmith, treasurer of the Galion Community Foundation, to create a Paypal account for the Connection's/HOF Weekend; Committee Updates Bonfire/Pep Rally - Will occur Thursday evening, October 3rd; Pancake Breakfast - Is planned for October 5th; Alumni Band Performance - The band will participate in the October 3rd Rehearsal and October 4th @ Homecoming Game. Hall of Fame Nominations - No new nomination forms have been received since the March meeting. The 2019 HOF nominations on file include: David Campbell, Mary Court, Deb Garverick, Jerry James, Ken Jarvis, Kelly (Dye) Rowland & Ed Snyder. No new nominations have been submitted since the March meeting. Nominations close June 1st. Biographical forms are needed for the following: Mary Court, Deb Garverick, Jerry James & Ken Jarvis. Dave will follow-up with Deb Garverick and the family of Jerry James, Sandy will follow-up with Mary Court's family and Chris will contact Ken Jarvis' nominators. NOMINATIONS WILL BE REVIEWED AND SELECTED AFTER THE JUNE 12TH MEETING BY HOF SUBCOMMITTEE. HOF Banquet - October 5, 2019 @ Galion MS; no new business. Fund Raising - Chris is distributing Sponsorship letters to prior inductees. Program - A1 Printing will continue to be the company used for 2019. Awards - Dave will be using Deans Trophy House for the 2019 Banquet. Career Day - No Report. Other Business - No new business. Next Meeting - June 12th @ 7:30 a.m. @ the Administration Center; reminder that HOF nominations will follow this meeting. Meeting Adjourned @ 8:15a.m.
