2024 Hall of Fame The 2024 Hall of Fame Banquet and inductee presentations will be held on October 12, 2024. Do you know a Galion High School Graduate that deserves recognition for outstanding accomplishments in their careers and communities? Please fill out a nomination form for that individual to be considered for that honor. Nominating forms are due by June 1, 2024. Click on the banner below to print out the nominating criteria and and form. Provide as much information as possible, but most importantly nominate some one you feel is deserving of recognition. |

Connections Weekend Planning Meeting March 17, 2020 In Attendance: Jen Allerding, Kyle Baughn, Terry Gribble, Joe Kleinknecht, Steve Melchoir, Sandy Powell, Dave Spraw and Brian Treisch Financial Report - Dave will provide an updated financial report in April. Approve Minutes - Thanks to Steve Melchoir for providing minutes from September 16th. Connections Weekend Events for 2021 - Bonfire & Pep Rally October 14th - Career Day - MS @ October 15th - Homecoming Game - October 15th w/Lima Central Catholic - Alumni Band - October 15th - YMCA 5K Race - October 16th - Hall of Fame Dinner - October 16th Connections Weekend Community Events - Kiwanis Pancake Day ? - Car Show? Hall of Fame Nominee Selection - Martha Bell Boyd, Lupe Campo, Chet Foraker and Max Ness were nominated in 2020. Brian will prepare a 2021 nominations message to be distributed to the local press, the Alumni Association website and the Galion City Schools social media sites. Hall of Fame Dinner - October 16, 2021 @ GMS Cafetorium Sandy will call Wade Cramer @ AVITA to hold the date, October 16th.Marketing - An early letter will be sent to businesses and past HOF. Recipients promoting events and asking for sponsorship for 2021 events. Performing Arts Center - no planning has been held in 2020 due to pandemic concerns. Brian will communicate with the Garverick's to begin again in 2021. Other: 2022 Thursday's October 13 - October 15, 2022 - Homecoming Game w/Pleasant H.S. Committee Organization - Time to reach out for new members. Jen shared that schools are still in a 4 day-per-week, in-person instructional schedule w/Wednesday as a cleaning day and students are in a virtual learning model. She has polled families and is planning to move to a 5 day per-week, in-person instructional week when the county moves to Orange status.
