Connections Weekend Planning Committee Meeting       March 22, 2022

In Attendance: Kyle Baughn, Steve Melchior, Sandy Powell, Dave Spraw, Brian Treisch, Andee Wildenthaler

Agenda Approval - Motion by Dave Spraw, seconded by Steve Melchoir, motion carried

Financial Report - Dave reported that the Synergy Investment Fund ended 12/31/21 @ $59,728.15.  The Synergy Checking Account has $13,550.32.  A motion to approve the Financial Report was made by Sandy Powell and seconded by Kyle Baughn, motion carried.  A recommendation was made to move the 2021 earnings from the Synergy Investment Fund of $1,789.63 back into the investment fund.  Motion was made by Dave Spraw and seconded by Steve Melchoir, motion carried.

Approve Minutes - Approval of February minutes

Marketing/Fundraising - No marketing/fundraising discussions occurred at this month's meeting.

Connections Weekend 2022 Events

- Bonfire, Alumni Band & Pep Rally @ Unckrich Stadium - Thursday, October 13th
- Career Day - MS @ October; Jen will update the MS Principal    
- Homecoming Game - October 14th    

- Kiwanis Pancake Day - October 15th @Intermediate School

- Connections/YMCA 5K Race & 1 Mile Walk @ Middle School - October 15th
- Hall of Fame Dinner - October 15th @ 6:30 pm at the MS Cafetorium w/catered dinner from AVITA.

Hall of Fame 2022 Nominations - Brian will prepare a press release for the local paper.  Nomination forms due June 1st and selection committee will meet June 8th @ 8:00 am @ the Gill House.  Andee Wildenthaler will contact Kerrie Scherer regarding nomination for the Miller's.  Sandy checked the nominations file after the meeting and found 3 nominations, recently received, all from the class of 1973.  Dr. Terry Jobe, Lynn Stowe and Chip Durtschi.  Tom Goddard was the nominator. 

Performing Arts Center - Brian shared that Dan Seckel is making adjustments to the floorplan of the center.
