2024 Hall of Fame The 2024 Hall of Fame Banquet and inductee presentations will be held on October 12, 2024. Do you know a Galion High School Graduate that deserves recognition for outstanding accomplishments in their careers and communities? Please fill out a nomination form for that individual to be considered for that honor. Nominating forms are due by June 1, 2024. Click on the banner below to print out the nominating criteria and and form. Provide as much information as possible, but most importantly nominate some one you feel is deserving of recognition. |

August 8, 2023
In Attendance: Dr. Jeff Hartmann, Regina Jutz, Steve Melchior, Sandy Powell, Tasha Stanton & Matt Tyrrell Approve Minutes - S. Melchoir moved, T. Stanton seconded - motion carried Financial Report - No new financial report. Regina reported that 3 new donations were received as a result of the community mailing. Report on 2023 Inductees -The 2023 HOF Inductees are: Dan Beach, ‘71, Dave Beach, ‘71, Philip Bunyard (educator award), Chris Heydinger ‘84, Leo Jobe ‘73, Lorraine Dankowski Jordan, ‘74 and Cleve (Jim) Ricksecker, ‘71. 2023 Connections Weekend Events - October 12- 14,2023 Bonfire, Pep Rally & Alumni Band Practice - October 12th Career Day @ Middle School - October 13th - Jeff will check w/Tina @ GMS Homecoming Game vs. Clear Fork Colts - October 13th Kiwanis Pancake Day @ Intermediate School - October 14th Hall of Fame Dinner/Induction Ceremony @ Middle School - October 14th Hall of Fame Dinner Dinner ordered w/AVITA and centerpieces are ordered w/ Blossoms & Gifts (formerly Tonis). Brian will contact Miranda Jones at the Chamber to order this year's inductee awards through Schillings. Performing Arts Center - No new business was reported. Other business - Regina will mail the HOF alumni letters next week. Shannon from Food Service will work w/Kiwanis member Doug Greene regarding breakfast details. Tasha spoke w/new choir director, Cindy Strickler and Theresa O'deens regarding music at the pep rally and HOF dinner. Alisha Griffin will coordinate music for Pancake Breakfast. Tasha will also explore the possibility for concessions at the Bonfire. The committee welcomed Matt Tyrrell as the new athletic director. Next Meeting will be Wednesday, September 20th @ 9:00 am. In the Admin Center Meeting adjourned @ 9:25 am. |
