Class of 1964 Seeking Feedback for Planning 45th Class Reunion

Updated 11/30/2007

The letter included here has been sent to all 1964 classmates with mailing addresses on record.  Your responses will be greatly appreciated.

Greetings Classmates!

The reunion committee would like to provide all 1964 classmates with a few updates of interest and collect your thoughts in regards to our 45th reunion.

One of the reunion committee members, Jerry Winters is recovering from quadruple by-pass surgery performed in December. He is doing great and plans to be back to a normal routine and work by the 1st of February.

The committee has decided to publish a semi-annual letter to keep everyone up to date on classmates and activities. To do this successfully we will need your help. Please let us know of any news you may have concerning classmates or their activities.

Successful class reunions require timely planning of the event and notification of classmates so that they can make plans to attend. With that in mind, we are very interested in your thoughts for our 45th class reunion to be held in 2009. Some things to consider are listed below.

Would you prefer:

a. A sit down dinner or a buffet?

b. Live entertainment or background music?

c. Galion Country Club, Aspen Terrace, St. Joseph’s Activity Center, Road House or Varsity Grille?

d. Friday night football game, Saturday golf?

e. Possibly a tour of the new School Complex. (High School to be in operation 2007/2008 school year)

f. Other suggestions?

Please take a moment and jot down your preferences and send them to:

                                      Karen Flowers

                                      8800 County Road 20

                                      Galion, OH 44833

In closing, we would like all classmates to be aware that Julie (Stevens) Snyder’s husband, Bill, has set up an English Scholarship Fund in her memory. Every year, one individual is chosen to receive the scholarship. Enclosed is a copy of a letter sent from a recent recipient. Julie will always be remembered in our hearts and memories. What a great way to honor her memory. If you would care to contribute to the fund, all donations will be accepted with heartfelt gratitude. Checks can be made out to the Julie Snyder Scholarship Fund and sent to:

                                   First Federal Bank of Ohio

                                   Julie Snyder Scholarship Fund

                                   Att: Dave Beach

                                   140 N. Columbus St.

                                   Galion, OH 44833

Sincerely

Class of 1964 Reunion Committee
