Board of Directors Minutes

December 22, 2008

Attendance: Brian Treisch, Bill Durtschi, Steve Melchior, Lee Ann Shifley, Terry Shifley, Joe Kleinknecht, Doug Schilling, Shawn Woerlein

Brian Treisch called the meeting to order.

Minutes: The November meeting minutes were not available due to the absence of Sue Jarvis.

Treasurers Report: Steve Melchior distributed and reviewed the report. A motion was made by Doug Schilling to approve, with a second by Joe Kleinknecht. The motion carried.

Membership Discussion:

We have a mailing list of approximately 5000 alumni. It was suggested to only mail membership forms to the classes from 1959 to 1989. This would amount to around 2000 mailings, with the cost for that being roughly $1000.00.

we will send mailings to classes with reunions scheduled soon as well as all current members.

A motion was made to handle the membership mailings this way. The motion was moved by Joe Kleinknecht, and seconded by Shawn Woerlein. Motion carried.

Homecoming 2009: The date is set for September 25, 2009. All groups from the Synergy meetings will be asked to help out. Our group will be in charge of the first Hall of Fame Awards Banquet.

Other activities discussed to promote the Alumni Association were: Memorial Garden area with bricks, benches, trees, etc. on the new school campus.

Joint Project: We also discussed a new auditorium. With consideration given to; what functions do we want to be involved in, with proceeds going to the project. It was also noted that we would need cooperation of other groups to get this accomplished.
