Executive Committee Minutes

April 22, 2009

 Attendance: Brin treisch, Bill durtschi, Steve Melchior, Lee Ann Shifley, Terry Shifley, Joe Kleinknecht, Doug Schilling

Agenda:

Minutes for March  meeting were not available due to the absence of Sue Jarvis.

Treasurers report was given and approved.

Alumni Basketbal Tournament:

We believe that we can get cobey Bright to help next year.  We need a few younger people to help.

Homecoming 2009:

Synergy Group: We need to get approval for use of the Galion Theater on the Thursday night before homecoming.  Homecoming with the Alumni Band night wil be September 25, 2009. Saturday morning there will be a golf outing and the Hall of Fame dinner that evening.  Doug Schilling is working on promotional graphics. 

A donation of $250.00 as seed money for the Synergy Group was proposed.  Lee Ann Shifley made the motion, seconded by Terry Shifley and approved by the committee.

Discussed giving $200.00 for the Ohio Graduation Breakfast.

Other activities to promote the Alumni Association:

Awards needed for the GHS honors banquet.

Look at Web site, Face Book, Twitter and Galion Live to get more information out. Signage fo Football Score board. 

Jerry Tischer will be the speaker for the Hall of Fame Banquet.
