| Galion Community Band Rehearsals and Performances Announced |

The Galion Community Band will perform on Tuesday, June 29 and Monday, July 5, 2010. The June performance is a part of the Music in the Park 2010 sponsored by Richardson-Davis Funeral Home and will begin at 7:00 p.m. The July concert will precede the Galion Rotary Club Fireworks display and the concert will also begin at 7:00 p.m. Rehearsals for the Galion Community Band will be held on Monday, June 7 at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, June 13 at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 21 at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 27 at 2:00 p.m.. All Rehearsals will be held at the Galion High School band room. Band members should use the atheletic entrance for these rehearsals. The Galion Community Band is open to ALL area musicians. This is a group that allows all area musicians to play in a concert band setting. All ages, all schools are welcome, just bring your instrument! Larger instruments, such as percussion and tubas, will be provided. The band will play a range of music from show tunes to Sousa marches. This is always a fun, traditional concert for participants and listeners alike. the level of music is challenging, and generally requires high school proficiency to play.
