Wine Tasting & Silent Auction
The Galion Alumni Association held a Wine Tasting and Silent Auction on Saturday, March 23, 2013. The event featured California wines that were matched with samples of the appropriate foods that each wine would accompany. The event was held at the Galion Country Club with chef Mike Taylor providing an array of tasty samples that was enjoyed by all that attended.
The purpose of the event was to raise funds for the Galion City School's Campus Wear Fund. This fund provides assistance to those that need help in purchasing clothing that meets the standards of the school dress code. With the help of this event, the Association was able to contribute $1250.00 to the Campus Wear Fund.
We would like to thank all of those that provided support for this event. A special thanks to Mark Barrier for allowing us to use the facilities of the Galion Country Club and the help provided in set up of the wine tasting stations and silent auction tables. Below you wild find pictures taken at the event including one of our sponsor board. To each and everyone of you, thank you for your support. This event was put together by Association Member Julie (Bracy) Boles, who put a lot of effort into making this a very enjoyable experience. Julie and the rest of the Galion Alumni Association board hope to see you at next years Wine Tasting and Silent Auction.
