Seeking Sponsors for 2014 Wine Tasting

The following is the content of a letter being sent to local businesses seeking sponsorships for the Wine Tasting and Silent Auction to be held in March.  Anyone may be a sponsor of this event and your participation is encouraged.

The Galion Alumni Association is proud to announce it will be hosting its third Wine Tasting & Silent Auction Fundraiser on March 8, 2014. Part of the Galion Alumni Association’s mission is to provide social and cultural opportunities to alumni, faculty and friends. This event is meant to provide an opportunity for alumni, faculty and friends to gather to reconnect or meet new acquaintances and reminisce about their time here in Galion. You can help create and participate in this social event.

We are asking that you support our efforts by providing a sponsorship in $25 increments. This sponsorship will help defray the cost of hosting the event and allow more profits to go to the Campus Wear Fund. Your sponsorship will include your company name being listed on our Board of Sponsors and program. If you chose to donate $75, you will receive one free ticket to the event. A $100 sponsorship will give you two free tickets. Please make checks payable to The Galion Alumni Association and return in the self-addressed envelope provided.

We also invite you and your staff to attend the Galion Alumni Association Wine Tasting & Silent Auction on March 8, 2014 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Galion Country Club. Heidelberg Distributing has selected a variety of South American wines and food samples to complement each wine. Attendees will receive access to the event, be able to sample each wine and enjoy food samples that complement each wine. You will also have the opportunity to bid on the silent auction items. Tickets can be purchased in Galion at Uptowne Outfitters and The Candi Bar starting January 6, 2014 through February 21, 2014.

Last year at the Galion Alumni Association Wine Tasting & Silent Auction some wonderful discussions took place and individuals enjoyed the atmosphere and company of fellow supporters of the Galion City Schools. $1,250.00 was donated to the Galion City School Campus Wear Fund. This year we expect more attendees and to raise more funds to support our local school.
