GHS Class of 1944 Holds 70 Year Reunion

  The members of GHS Class of 1944 met for their 70th class reunion luncheon on the sun­porch of Galion Country Club Saturday, Sept. 20. Fifteen class members and six guests enjoyed reminiscing and view­ing albums of previous reunions.

 Blessing was offered by Jeffery Miller. Lunch was served with a choice of chicken or pork entrees and a decorated cake with a large icing photo of the old high school served as dessert. 

 President Earl Miller was master of ceremo­nies and Fred Barr entertained with his "Auctioneer's Song".

 Each class member gave a brief history of their lives, occupation and families. Naomi Girton Keyes, who was unable to attend, gave one-liner jokes to each class member to read for their enjoyment. 

 The former officers were dissolved and a chairman was elected for next year's class luncheon to be held at the Pizza Hut. Fred Barr volunteered for the posi­tion.
