Connections Weekend Meeting Notes      7/20/2016

In Attendance: Kyle Baughn, Jim Grubbs, Joe Kleinknecht, Rick Maddox, Steve Melchoir, Sandy Powell, Brian Treisch;

Financial Report: Dave Spraw will share report next month;

Review of Minutes: Members received electronic copies after the June meeting;

Sub-Committee Reports:

Pep Rally/Bonfire - Kyle Baughn noted that the bonfire will begin @ 7:00 pm, pre-bonfire events will begin @ 6:00; the goal is to have all fall sports recognized as well as band groups; the Boy Scouts will prepare the bonfire pit;

Pancake Breakfast - Joe Kleinknecht shared that this activity will be ready to go;

Hall of Fame Nominations - Brian shared a letter for the committee's approval; nominations are due 8/15 and selections will be made by 8/22;

Dinner - Pastors (including wives) will continue to participate and will not be billed for their dinners; the new MS principal, Joe Morabito, will be coordinating the dinner service by students; meal options will be chicken, beef or vegetarian; the reservations will be due Friday, September 30th; the dinner will begin @ 6:30 pm;

Publicity - Joe will ask Shawna about the social media updates; Brian will contact Violeta Chinni for her support in publicity; Rick asked about flyers for church bulletins; Brian also supported the idea of church promotion; Fundraising letter will be mailed today, Joe will be sending the letter out this week;

Career Day - Shawna was not in attendance; Jim Grubbs also indicated that Jen Allerding will help with any Career Day coordination w/MS staff;

Other Business: 

Brian asked about future planning for auditorium.

Next Month's Meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 17th @ 7:30 am;  Joe Morabito will be invited to attend;
