Connections Weekend Planning Committee Meeting Notes

June 14, 2023

In Attendance: Jennifer Allerding, Terry Gribble, Jeff Hartmann, Regina Jutz, Melissa Miller, Steve Melchior, Sandy Powell, Dave Spraw & Brian Treisch

Approve Agenda - J. Allerding moved, T. Gribble seconded - motion carried

Approve Minutes - T. Gribble moved, S. Melchior seconded - motion carried

Financial Report - Dave shared that there is no new activity to the Synergy Funds.

Introductions w/New Superintendent - Dr. Jeff Hartmann introduced himself followed by the committee members. It was discovered that there are Pennsylvania connections by many on the committee.

Report on 2023 Inductees -

·         The selection committee met on 6/8 and are recommending the following recipients: Dan Beach, ‘71, Dave Beach, ‘71, Philip Bunyard (educator award), Chris Heydinger‘84, Lorraine Dankowski Jordan, ‘74 and Cleve (Jim) Ricksecker, ‘71.

·         The inductees were approved - S. Melchior moved, B. Treisch seconded - motion carried.

·         Still awaiting more complete biographies for Bunyard, Dankowski-Jordan and Ricksecker.

·         Brian will ask Craig Alguire to take the formal portraits for the program, newsletter and plaques.

·         Dave will contact A1 printing for plaques.

2023 Connections Weekend Events - October 12- 14,2023

·         Bonfire, Pep Rally & Alumni Band Practice - October 12th

·         Career Day @ Middle School - October 13th

·         Homecoming Game vs. Clear Fork Colts - October 13th

·         Kiwanis Pancake Day @ Intermediate School - October 14th

·         Hall of Fame Dinner/Induction Ceremony @ Middle School - October 14th.

Hall of Fame Catering Planning

·         Sandy reviewed Buehler's Catering Proposal and the various items that are to be provided by the committee (ie. additional rental of linens, table service and cost of clean up)

·         After further discussion, it was determined that Sandy would contact AVITA Catering and request a quote that includes all services as in prior years. Will share dinner information at the July meeting.

Performing Arts Center - Brian stated that there was no new business.

Other business -

·         Please forward all information regarding this year's inductees to Regina Jutz ASAP, so the initial mailing can be made.

•      Sandy will forward menu options to Regina for use in mailings ASAP.

Next Meeting will be Wednesday, July 19th @ 9:00 am.
