Meeting Notes

November 15 , 2023

In Attendance: Dr. Jeff Hartmann, Regina Jutz, Sandy Powell, Dave Spraw & Brian Treisch

Approve Minutes - No minutes were submitted for approval

Financial Report 

●       Dave reported $10,883 in deposits, $2,421 in expenses, w/ total earnings to date @ $8,462.  There is currently $28,402.19 in the Synergy checking account and $40,550 in the Edward Jones investment fund.  Brian moved to transfer $20,000 from the checking account to the EJ investment account.  Dave seconded and the motion carried.

●       Dave recommended that committee members continue to make calls to local businesses for ad space.  He also would appreciate sharing the writing responsibilities of the programs and awards.

Review of 2023 Connections Weekend Events - October 12 - 14, 2023

●       Bonfire, Pep Rally & Alumni Band Practice - Was held as in previous years

●       Career Day @ Middle School - October 13th - Lorraine and Jim Dankowski would like to be added to next year's program at GMS.

●       Homecoming Game vs. Clear Fork Colts - Nice win

●       Kiwanis Pancake Day @ Intermediate School - No update shared

●       Hall of Fame Dinner/Induction Ceremony @ Middle School - all went well w/ 78 participants.  Sandy will make catering inquiries w/Whistle Stop and 3 Girls and a Kitchen to compare menus and pricing against AVITA. 

 Performing Arts Center -

●       Dr. Hartmann expressed the rationale for renaming the project as a "Student Center" which could include other uses for the facility.

●       . Dr. Hartmann and Treasurer Parkinson have researched options for acquiring funds through either a TAN or COPS process to borrow money for this type of school construction.

●       Dave and Brian shared what efforts the Synergy Committee made in previous architectural designs. Design changes have occurred based on the feedback from previous superintendents. Dan Seckel of Seckel Group Ltd., in Mansfield, Ohio, has been the lead architect in this multi-year project.

Next Meeting will be Wednesday, January 17th @ 8:30 am. In the Administrative Center
