Annual GHS Holiday Concert Set

The annual Holiday Concert for the Galion High School Vocal and Instrumental Music Department is set for Monday, December 15 at 7:00 p.m. The combined concert will be held in the gymnasium at Galion High School, 472 Portland Way North.

The High School Concert Choir will perform three works: The Gift, The Snow Begins to Fall, and It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.

The High School Symphonic Choir will sing The Nutcracker Jingle, Grown-Up Christmas List, Sing We All the First Noel, and Awake the Trumpets Lofty Sound.

The combined choirs will invite all former choir members to join them for the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah. All vocal groups are under the direction of Mr. Richard Walker.

The talents of the Galion High School Showtunes will be displayed when they perform I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, Where are You Christmas?, and Sleigh Ride.

The Galion High School Concert Band will perform A Charlie Brown Christmas, Rhapsody of Carols, Merry Christmas to All, and Pachebel’s Canon. The band is also under the direction of Mr. Richard Walker.

The GHS Jazz Band under the direction of Miss Jessica Berry will perform at this concert as well. Final selections for the Jazz Band are being practiced and polished.

The public is invited to this free concert showcasing Galion High School’s fine musicians. Doors will open at approximately 6:15 p.m.
