2024 Hall of Fame The 2024 Hall of Fame Banquet and inductee presentations will be held on October 12, 2024. Do you know a Galion High School Graduate that deserves recognition for outstanding accomplishments in their careers and communities? Please fill out a nomination form for that individual to be considered for that honor. Nominating forms are due by June 1, 2024. For Immediate Release The Galion Tiger Alumni Band will take the field one more time on Friday, October 6 at the Galion vs.
The band will rehearse on Sunday, September 17 and Sunday, September 24 to prepare music. These rehearsals will be at 7:00 p.m. at the GHS band room. The band will also rehearse on Thursday, Oct. 5 at 6:30 p.m. with the current edition of the GHS band.
The 2006 football season marks the 80th year for a marching band at “Because we are marking the 80th anniversary, we hope to have as many alumni as possible at the event,” said Treisch. “The Galion Alumni Association will have a special tent at the game and we are planning a reception following the game at the Galion Elks for all former band alumni to get together.” There will be a $5.00 membership fee for all that march or attend the reception. “This will cover the refreshment cost and some music costs we have associated with Alumni Band Night,” said Treisch Current band director Rick Walker is putting the final touches on the halftime show for this special performance. “We are looking at a patriotic theme and some big sounds with the combined alumni and high school band,” said
Those planning to march should attend at least one music rehearsal. If you plan to just attend the reception, contact Brian at 419-462-2209.
