2012 Raffle Results
The drawing for the winners of the 2012 Galion Alumni Association and Galion Tiger Alumni Band raffle was held at the Varsity Grille on Friday, September 28th. As in previous years, the tickets were drawn in reverse order from fourth prize to first. The first ticket drawn belonged to Mary Fulkerson and was for $200.00. The second ticket belonged to John Reece and was good for $300.00. Drawn next was the second prize ticket for $500.00 and that went to Brian Shifley. The final ticket drawn was for $1000.00 and it belonged to Steve Melchior. It was convenient that three of the four winners were in attendance during the drawing and were observing the ticket draw and pick up their winnings. The fourth winning ticket winner was contacted on Monday, October 1, 2012 and was issued a check for the winning amount. All of the winners in this years drawing were local, with three of the four residing in Galion. Congratulations to our winners. Thanks to everyone who purchased a ticket for this years raffle. We hope for continued participation and success in next years drawing. All proceeds will be used to provide additional dollars to Galion City Schools programs.
